Air Botswana to resume flights into Zambia

Air Botswana has announced resumtpion of flights into Zambia after 2 years hiatus.

In a communique to the Zambian mission in Gaborane, Botswana’s national flag carrier is set to hit the Zambian skies with a maiden flight scheduled for 31st March, 2019.

Air Botswana says this has been neccessisted by increased commercial activities and movements of people between the two countries.

Zambia’s  deputy High Commissioner to Botswana, Goodwell Lungu said the resumption of the direct flights by Air Botswana demonstrated increased areas of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Lungu said Botswana was a key partner in economic, trade and investment as highlihgted with a number of other developments such as the ongoing construction of the Kazungula Bridge between the two SADC countries.

Air Botswana said it would operate a 70 seater jet service with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

This is contained in a statement made available to media institutions by the First Secretary for Press and Administration at the Zambian mission in Gaborane, Kasabo Kalusa.
