Kapiri hubby on the run after beating his wife to death

A 39-year-old man of Kapiri Mposhi has gone into hiding after allegedly beating-up his wife to death, consequently burying her body.
ZANIS reports that Central Province Commissioner of Police Chola Katanga confirmed the incidence which happened on June 8, 2019.
Katanga named the suspect as Godfrey Sundwe and the deceased as Grace Nshimbi, 34, both of Fubera village in Chief Nkole’s area.
“We have received a report of murder from female Febby Nshimbi, 45, to the effect that her sister female Grace Nshimbi died after being beaten by her husband using fists and kicks. The suspect is on the run and we have since launched a man hunt,” said Katanga.
He said it is alleged that Sundwe beat-up his wife to death using fists and kicks following a marital dispute and later buried her body at the same village.
“The incident was only reported to police on Tuesday, 11th June 2019 by the deceased’s sister. According to the report, the deceased sustained stomach and general body pains and bleeding from the nose and mouth as a result of the beating and later died,” he said
Katanga said the suspect went into hiding after police made a follow up on the matter adding that a manhunt had since been launched.
He said police will soon exhume the body to facilitate postmortem.
