Fear consequences of stealing, not human beings – HH advises PF govt
By Staff Reporter
HAKAINDE Hichilema has advised the PF government to fear the consequence of stealing from the Zambians and embracing evils of brutality while pretending to be christians.
In a tweet yesterday Hichilema, the UPND president, said God was fair and that His will shall prevail.
“If there is something the PF should be afraid of, it is not us. It is the divine consequence of stealing from the Zambian people and embracing evils of brutality while pretending to be Christian. God is fair and His will shall prevail,” Hichilema stated.
And speaking to journalists after attending the ordination of 17 priests in Kabwe on Saturday, Hichilema said: “we congratulate the 17; we congratulate their families, the Catholic Church and please continue doing works in our communities.”
“The community needs this type of work and leadership. In today’s Zambia, people are stressed economically and so, they need support in many ways,” he said.
“We need the Church to continue keeping society together, otherwise society will be something else than what it is today.”
The opposition leader thanked the Catholic Church for inviting and allowing him to join them in witnessing the ordination of 17 priests at Don Bosco in Kabwe.
Hichilema noted that the body of Christ was one and that the UPND remained committed to ensuring that Zambia was not only a Christian nation by mouth but also in deeds.
“We are grateful to the Church leadership throughout our country for their continued wisdom and wise counsel,” he said.
“We will continue working with the Church in ensuring a better Zambia, especially in areas of preaching the gospel, promotion of human rights, freedoms and liberties, and also fight against evils such as corruption and bad governance in our country. May God bless our country.”
