TCZ warns teachers peddling insults on social media

By Staff Reporter

The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) says it will not hesitate to punish teachers that are fond of insulting government through social media.

TCZ Assistant Director, inspections Joel Kamoko said the council had noticed a trend by some teachers to use social media to disrespect government and their superiors.

Kamoko said this in Kaoma district when he paid a courtesy call on the District Commissioner Kennedy Mubanga at his office.

TCZ is in Kaoma to sensitize and launch the issuance of practicing licenses to teachers while reminding them to uphold high moral standards.

And Kaoma District Commissioner disclosed that most teachers in the District were into beer drinking hence offering poor services to the pupils.

Mubanga called on the TCZ to deal with the issue.
