PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Central Committee has expelled Lusaka lawyer Kelvin Bwalya Fube (KBF) and member Julius Komaki from the party for gross indiscipline.
And PF Secretary General Davies Mwila also announced at a media briefing today that the Central Committee also resolved to re-admit former UPND vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) and Eric Chanda into the party.
Mwila said the Central Committee that sat yesterday, June 2, 2019 was chaired by President Edgar Lungu and attended by Vice-President
Inonge Mutukwa Wina after the last adjournment on May 26, 2019.
“Central Committee received reports and recommendations for the expulsion of Mr. Julius Komaki and Mr. Kelvin Fube Bwalya. Central Committee unanimously resolved to expel from the party with immediate effect the duo for gross indiscipline and uttering statements aimed at creating disunity and confusion in the Party,” he said.
“Let me mention here that the duo essentially expelled themselves when they started pushing for disunity and anarchy in the Party because there was no progressive political movement that allows laws of the jungle to take centre stage,” said Mwila.
“This must serve as a warning to members of the Party that in asserting your freedoms as a member, do not drag the party’s name into disrepute. We shall enforce discipline in the Party and there shall be no sacred cows. The two colleagues must therefore be removed from all platforms associated with the Patriotic Front with immediate effect,” he ordered.
When contacted for a comment KBF expressed ignorance about his expulsion, saying he had not received any communication from the party yet.
