“About 12 months ago, I started preparing for this challenge and I set myself a target of cycling from Mbala to Lusaka and with my colleagues at work, we agreed it was a good venture to solicit for funds to build a clinic in Nalolo. And so that is how after a lot of preparation, I arrived on the 16th of July in Mbala. ” he said.
He said in the process, a lot of people have been sending donations directly to the just giving web site.
And Dr. Chilufya expressed government’s gratitude for initiatives such as the one Dr. Kalima had embarked on.
He said that due to the huge demand for health care services, resources always ended up being a challenge.
“The health facility would be an addition to the ones that government is dotting around the country and announced that resources would immediately be made available to add onto what Dr. Kalima has raised so that the project can commence at once,” he said.
And UPND Member of Parliament for Nalolo, George Imbuwa was looking forward to the project as it would greatly improve the delivery of Health care services in the constituency.
