SENIOR Chief Bright Nalubamba of the Ila people of Namwala has left a huge vacuum in the leadership of the country, Socialist Party 2021 presidential candidate, Dr Fred M’membe has said.

And Dr M’membe says the spirit of senior chief Nalubamba should live on in the struggles of the people for a more just, fair and humane Zambia.

In a statement from Mwika Royal Village this monring on the passing on of senior chief Nalubamba, on behalf of the Politburo of the Socialist Party, Dr. M’membe said it was with deep sadness that the party had learnt of the passing of the progressive traditional leader.

“We share in the grief and mourning of senior chief Nalubamba’s family and loved ones, as well as the Ila people of Namwala, and offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences,” he stated.

“As a highly respected traditional and political leader who had dedicated his life and work to his people, to our homeland, senior chief Nalubamba has left a huge vacuum in our leadership”.

Dr M’membe said the party appreciated greatly and commemorate senior chief Nalubamba’s contributions to the country.

“Talking politics with senior chief Nalubamba was always a pleasure for you knew that he had thought about ideas and about life, and his conversations always left you with something extra to think about,” he stated.

“We send our condolences first to his family circle, all who knew and loved and respected senior chief Nalubamba and of course to all his friends in the traditional leadership of our  country”.

Dr M’membe said at times like this, words seemed inadequate to convey the sense of loss.
