OPPOSITION United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema has expressed sympathy with newly appointed finance minister Dr Bwalya Ng’andu.
And Hichilema is optimistic that the Zambian Kwacha would appreciate against major convertible currencies once his party takes over government.
Speaking during a press briefing at his residence in Lusaka yesterday, Hichilema also expressed sympathy for Dr Ng’andu as the PF government was irredeemable.
“Bwalya Ng’andu can not change the economy, isabi nalibola kale ( the fish is already rotten), PF messed up everything,” said Hichilema.
Responding to the current improvement of the bond, Hichilema said the development was artificial as the debt situation of the country had not improved.
“Soon the dust will settle and bond will show their true position and there is nothing the PF government will do about it,” said Hichilema.
