Liuwa Operations Ranger, Safely Mulala, disclosed the incident an interview with ZANIS.

Mulala identified the victim as Kashweka Kashweka of Linoko village in Mutaa area in chief Likubi’s sub-chiefdom.

“The victim was earlier admitted to Mutaa rural health centre for medical treatment before being referred to Kalabo District Hospital,” he said.

Mulala said a team of wildlife officers had been dispatched to the area where the attack occurred in order to gather more information.
