GOVERNMENT has given K700, 000 to Nsingo museum in Luangeni Constituency, Chipata District.
Luangeni Member of Parliament Charles Zulu who confirmed the development to newsdayZambia.com this morning said the fund would improve the tourism facility in the area.
“I thank the government because it is the first time to fund activities of the Museum for the Ngoni people here in Luangeni. I’m very grateful with this gesture to have Nsingo considered by the Ministry of Arts and Tourism,” said Zulu
“Therefore, I’m challenging the government to honor Nsingo Mpezeni for being the first colonial fighter in this country. This move will also help the new generation to know the history of the Ngoni speaking people through such activities in Luangeni. Nsingo Mpezeni and his Ngoni warriors were determined to fight for the country leading to the first liberation bloodshed in Zambia”.
