Kazungula PR officer dies in road accident

KAZUNGULA Town Council public relations officer Catherine Ngulube has died in a road traffic accident in Zimba district, Southern Province.
Deputy Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga and Catherine’s brother Ezra Ngulube confirmed the death of the 24-year-old former Zamcom journalism student.
Hamoonga said Catherine along with two other people were involved in the accident in Zimba.
“Involved was a Honda Fitz AIV 4821 driven from North to South by Robert Mulauzi aged 43 years of Sambas North Livingstone. The accident happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed and careered off the road and overturned several times,” Hamoonga said
He explained that due to the impact, the driver and his passengers were injured.
“The driver sustained general body pains, Catherine Ngulube 24 years of Shambas North Livingstone sustained painful left leg, general body pains, Nchimunya Siabanyana aged 29 years of Kazungula sustained a cut on the heard and general body pains. All were admitted to Zimba Mission Hospital. Sadly Catherine died today around 02:00 hours,” he said.
