ACC arrest Mongu council finance director

The Anti-Corruption Commission (CCZ) has arrested and charged the Director of Finance at Mongu Municipal Council with one count of abuse of authority of office.

In a statement, ACC cooperate affairs officer Christopher Chibanku named the suspect as Kingsley Muchindu Siasinyanga.

Chibanku disclosed that on dates unknown but between August 1, 2013 and October 31, 2014 Siasinyanga, jointly and whilst acting together with Kabukabu Sikwibele, Choolwe Maunga, Benny Chiyesu and other persons unknown, abused authority of his office by allocating plots to themselves on property number lIV/22251.

Chibanka said the arrest of Siasinyanga comes in the wake of the arrest of 14 former Livingstone councillors including the current Livingstone Member of Parliament, Matthew Jere on corruption allegations.
