Police in Lusaka have arrested and detained Roan Member of Paliament Chishimba Kambwili and charged him with expression of hatred, redicule or showing contempt for persons because of race, tribe, place of origin, or colour contrary to the penal code.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo confirmed the arrest and said the Roan member of parliament has been remanded in custody whilst his lawyer Christopher Mundia has said his client will appear at the Lusaka magistrate court tomorrow.
In a social media post that went viral last week, Kabwili was seen insulting a person of indian origin he found at a road construction site and told him to go back to his country.

Katongo confirmed that an inquiry file has been opened to invistigate the matter and that Kambwili would soon be summoned once investigations were concluded.
In another video that has gone viral Kambwili is seen forcing himself into the restricted area, when security personnel who were manning the entrance, the Roan Memeber of parliament is seen brushing him aside.
