Kalomo male nurse tribalism case stalls

Investigations into a matter involving a Kalomo nurse suspended on allegation of refusing to attend to a patient for failing to speak Tonga have stalled as the complainant refuses to testify.

Southern Province Permanent Secretary, Mwangala Liomba told journalists that the male nurse was still on suspension, although the woman who generated the video had continued to evade giving her side of the story.
Investigations being conducted by the General Nursing Council of Zambia (GNCZ) and the Ministry of Health may discontinue if the woman continues to refuse to provide evidence of her claims.
Munsaka Phebias, male nurse in this case, recently posted on his social media handle that he was leaving everything in the hands of God shortly after his suspension on January 2, 2019.
“Nothing in that video incriminates the male nurse unless the woman avails herself before authorities and helps them with investigations on what really transpired on the fateful day,” Mwangala said.
