Allow donations to schools, Kambwili pleads with Lungu

ROAN Member of Parliament (MP) Chishimba Kabwili says President Edgar Lungu should show leadership and avoid blocking projects that are meant to help the people of Roan Constituency.

Kabwili who is also National Democratic Congress consultant said President Lungu should work hard if they are to be popular in Roan Constituency or Luanshya at large.

During a press briefing held at his residence yesterday, Kambwili said it was unfortunate that government had blocked him from donating books and computers to pupils at Roan Secondary School.

He said the act was an indication of insecurity from those in government leadership.

“President Lungu should show leadership and instruct the District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) to receive text books and computers that will help vulnerable school going children,” Kambwili said.

He added that government has failed to provide computers to the five secondary schools in his constituency.

Kabwili has since warned some known teachers in Luanshya to desist from participating into active politics.
