Make independence memorable – Mandumbwa
Zambians have been called upon to make this year’s indepencence a memorable occasion despite the many challenges being faced.
Maurice Mandumbwa, a senior citizen resident in Mongu, toldnewsdayzambia.com in an interview that parents had a role to play in making sure that young people knew the history of the country’s political freedom.
‘’Parents should teach young people on the importance of celebrating independence. Taxes have been increased, retires have not been paid their benefits,’’ said Mandumbwa.
