We remain positive, says Mweene

Chipolopolo skipper Kennedy Mweene says the team remains positive despite having dropped points in Guinea Bissau in the race for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to fazfootball.com the Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper said the team remained confident of qualification to the tournament by winning the remaining two fixtures.
“We will remain positive, we know that we will qualify and like the coach has said we have a very good team, the only thing we need to do is not to doubt ourselves. That is what I have shared to all the guys,” he said.
Zambia defeated Guinea Bissau 2-1 on Wednesday before losing by the same margin in the reverse fixture four days later.
Mweene said the team was disappointed with the loss but was now focusing on the November 16 assignment against Mozambique in Maputo.
“It is always a bad thing to lose especially when you know your abilities as a team. We are disappointed but in football if you play you cannot sit on that result for long because you have to look at the next game which is Mozambique,” said Mweene.
“I think we are just focusing on the two games against Mozambique and Namibia at home.”
Zambia has accumulated four points from four matches with one win, two losses and a draw and still have two fixtures to turn the tide.
Guinea Bissau tops Group K with seven points while Namibia and Mozambique also have four points.
