Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has adopted University of Zambia engineering lecturer Dr Faustin Banda for the forthcoming Kasenengwa constituency by-election slated for September 6, 2018.

Speaking at the UPND secretariat during the unveiling of Dr Banda, party Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mucheleka has urged people of Kasenengwa Constituency to try the opposition for real development not ‘the paper development PF’ sings on daily basis.

And UPND Chairperson for agriculture Levy Ngoma has accused Patriotic Front (PF) of playing politics of violence but warned that Kasenengwa by-election would not be easy for the ruling party.

Kasenengwa Constituency was declared vacant following the death of area member of parliament, Victoria Kalima.

The PF has adopted former Rainbow Party member Sensio Banda to contest the seat.
