Choma farmers demand refunds on e-voucher deposits

The Bwanama Filachitika Club of Choma district in Southern Province has demanded that government through the farmer input support programme should refunds the e-voucher initial deposits they paid.
Chairperson Abby Muchaala said it was evident that government had failed to credit farmer accounts for inputs, despite getting K400 from each farmer as per requirement.
“Many farmers have not yet received their money in their accounts for the 2016 farming season, causing a steady reduction in production output,” said Muchaala.
“I’m urging government to abolish the E – Voucher system, the previous system had less problems compared to the current one.”
