Bwana Mkubwa Constituency member of parliament Dr. Jonas Chanda says about 60 Kilometres tarred roads are required in his area to match up with the development in other constituencies in Ndola.

Dr Chanda was speaking in Lusaka after submitting to the Ministry of Housing & Infrastructure Development and the Road Development Agency (RDA) the list of roads in Bwana Mkubwa constituency proposed to be constructed under the Copperbelt (C400) Road Project by China Henan, and Copperbelt Urban Townships Road Project by AVIC International.

Dr Chanda said the people of Bwana Mkubwa constituency were very hopeful that the constituency under the Patriotic Front government would have new road construction, improved delivery of water and sanitation, health and education services, and upgrading of informal settlements.

“Transforming Zambia from a landlocked to a landlinked country will enable fast movement of goods, services and people, thus tapping into the vast SADC and COMESA markets and boosting the nation’s economy,” he said.

“I am encouraging President Lungu and the PF government not to be deterred by armchair critics who say that people will not eat roads”.
