Zimbabwean Farmer killed in Choma

A 59 year old farmer of Zimbabwean nationality, Clive Wixley has been murdered by unknown people at the entrance to his farm in Choma.
Police spokesperson Esther katongo said the incident occurred on Friday at about 11 00 hours at the slain farmer’s farm, Duba Farm located about 20 Kilometres off the Choma – Lusaka road.
“The deceased sustained a cut on the forehead and a blunt instrument is suspected to have been used in the act. The body was found lying in the bush, few meters from the gate while his vehicle was found at the gate with the engine running,” said Katongo
“The deceased is reported to have been coming from the bank to withdraw money to pay his farm workers when he was ambushed by suspected criminals by the gate. The body has been picked and is in Choma General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem,” she said
Katongo said police have instituted investigations in the matter and called upon members of the public with information to report to any nearest Police.
