Lusaka man commits suicide after raping a 25 year old woman

A 28 year man of Lusaka has committed suicide after beating, tying and raping a 25 year old woman of Lusaka’s libala township.
Mofya Lwandamina has committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance after beating, tying, and raping a 25 year old woman of Lusaka’ Libala township.
The deceased together with a juvenile friend of his of Libala Water Works area also allegedly stole money amounting to K400 and a Samsung phone after raping the woman.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo in a statement said the victim sustained multiple cuts on the neck and chest.
She said the incident happened on Friday around 14:00 hours at Water works area.
Katongo said the 16 year old juvenile was in police custody while the victim is at UTH undergoing medication.
