Milenge civil servants’ names found on E-voucher vulnerable beneficiaries’ list

SOME Milenge public service workers’ names are appearing as beneficiaries on the district’s E-voucher database, a situation the agricultural coordinator Arnold Muimui has described as unacceptable.

In a caution to civil servants not to acquire E-voucher cards, Muimui directed the individual officers whose names are featuring on the database not to pay the K400 required for them to finally access the farming inputs as the programme was meant for vulnerable small-scale farmers who cannot afford to buy inputs.

ZANIS reports that Muimui issued the caution when giving an update on the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) during a meeting organised for public service workers at the district council hall.

He informed the civil servants that the National Registration Card (NRC) details on the E-voucher card are similar to those at the Payment Management and Establishment Control (PMEC) at Cabinet Office, and as such those public service workers whose names would be found on the E-voucher database will have their salaries deducted.
