Mongu police officer causes road traffic accident with ‘BOMA’ motor vehicle

A Mongu resident was this afternoon rushed to Lewanika General Hospital after she sustained injuries in a road traffic accident involving three motor vehicles and allegedly caused by the driver of a Zambia Police motor vehicle.

The road accident occurred on Sipopa Road between NAPSA Mongu office and Barotse Shoprite Mall, and a woman in a Toyota Allex, registration number ALK 8043, whose motor vehicle, according to eyewitness accounts, was grievously hit by the police vehicle before it hit into another and veered off the road, sustained injuries on the left eye.

A crowd of curious residents rushed to the accident scene to get first-hand details over the incident.
