Dr Miti is appointed Secretary to Cabinet

President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has appointed Dr Simon Miti to the position of Secretary to Cabinet.

In a statement  issued  by  special  assistant to the president  for press and public Relations  Isaac Chipape, Dr Miti, a former permanent secretary at the Ministry of Health replaces Dr. Roland Msiska who was recently retired.

The appointment is subject to ratification by the National Assembly and as stipulated in powers vested in the President  by Article 176 of the Republican Constitution.

Dr Miti also served as Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Science and Technology.

He holds a master of Business Administration from the University of Glamargan in Wales and also holds a Masters degree in Public Health from Leeds University.

Dr. Miti has been serving as Principal Private Secretary at State House.
