Chipampe is new presidential press aide

President Edger Lungu has appointed Isaac Chipampe as state House press aide replacing Amos Chanda who resigned last week.
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony at state house this morning, President Lungu expressed his confidence that Chipampe would bring sanity in the media fraternity to end the trend of fake news.
President Lungu challenged Chipampe to fight the trend of spreading fake news with some journalists, particularly in social media.
He called on the newly appointed press aide to continue exhibiting professionalism in the media fraternity.
Meanwhile, speaking to journalists, Chipampe thanked President Lungu for the appointment.
He said any appointment in government required hard work and full commitment to match the demands of the task while serving with honor.
Chipampe was until his appointment director for press and media development at the ministry of information and broadcasting.
He also previously served as managing director of the daily mail newspaper.
