PATRIOTIC front Eastern Province chairman Andrew Lubusha has been re –elected unopposed after his competitor Elias Daka withdrew from the race citing Lack of transparency during the lower organs  inter party elections in the region.

And Lubusha says that the just ended provincial PF inter party elections which were witnessed by President   Edgar Lungu and several other Central committee members were free and fair.

Speaking to newsdayZambia.com this morning Lubusha called on members and newly elected provincial leadership to bury their differences and concentrate on building the party ahead of 2021 general elections.

“The elections were highly competitive but, free and fair and it was very good for us as a political party to see that  all the  inter party electoral processes were conducted in a democratic way. It was only Elias Daka who withdrew from the race who wanted to contest as PF eastern province chairman, but all the aspiring candidates from his team contested and only one   Emmanuel , Jay  Banda   won as  PF youth provincial chairman,” he said.

“The campaigns were full of propaganda from the other camp but we are happy that everything went on well. Now that the elections   are over its time for us to go back on the ground and rebuild the party,” said Lubusha

“The issue of team Eriboma and team Andric should be the thing of the past, lets work together and support the leadership of President Edgar Lungu. I therefore urge my brother Elias Daka to come back so that we work together as a team. We have also resolved as a new provincial leadership to start  reconciliations ,” said Lubusha.
