Dr M’membe calls for strong family value system

SOCIALIST Party 2021 presidential candidate Dr Fred M’membe has called for strong family value system in the country.

Speaking when he visited quadruplet’s babies  at the University Teaching hospital (UTH) on Friday, Dr M’membe told the father to the children, Chikonde Mwansa that having four children at once was not easy in today’s  Zambia.

He urged society to support children as they were not born only for the biological parents but were a responsibility of communities, society and the nation at large.

“Comrade Mwansa we have just come here to pay a bit of solidarity with you and your wife. As of today we are celebrating the birth of our children, we are also worried on how we are going to look after them; cloth them, feed them, and later on their education. Even looking for a K1.00 it is not easy, and if we are living in such type of the society we would have no one,” said Dr M’membe.

“We need to do more as a society and create more fairness, more justice and humane society where parents does not worry on how they are  going to raise up children and that a fair society is possible and it is our collective responsibility to build that society”.

When receiving the donations, Mwansa commended Dr M’membe and the Socialist Party for the support rendered to the children and his family.

Mwansa promised to put to good use the gifts and assured Dr M’membe that his family will take good care of the children.

“As a family we want to say thank you for the gift you have given us today and thank you to Dr M’membe for his generosity for the gift. We are very happy. And we want to thank management at UTH for taking care of our children since they were born,” said Mwansa

Two weeks ago the University Teaching Hospital recorded the successful birth of the quadruplets.
