{"id":8530,"date":"2019-02-18T13:04:54","date_gmt":"2019-02-18T13:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsdayzambia.com\/?p=8530"},"modified":"2019-02-18T13:05:27","modified_gmt":"2019-02-18T13:05:27","slug":"air-botswana-to-resume-flights-into-zambia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsdayzambia.com\/?p=8530","title":{"rendered":"Air Botswana to resume flights into Zambia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Staff Reporter<\/p>\n<p>Air Botswana has announced resumtpion of flights into Zambia after 2 years hiatus.<\/p>\n<p>In a communique to the Zambian mission in Gaborane, Botswana\u2019s national flag carrier is set to hit the Zambian skies with a maiden flight scheduled for 31st March, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Air Botswana says this has been neccessisted by increased commercial activities and movements of people between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Zambia\u2019s\u00a0 deputy High Commissioner to Botswana, Goodwell Lungu said the resumption of the direct flights by Air Botswana demonstrated increased areas of economic cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Lungu said Botswana was a key partner in economic, trade and investment as highlihgted with a number of other developments such as the ongoing construction of the Kazungula Bridge between the two SADC countries.<\/p>\n<p>Air Botswana said it would operate a 70 seater jet service with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p>This is contained in a statement made available to media institutions by the First Secretary for Press and Administration at the Zambian mission in Gaborane, Kasabo Kalusa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Staff Reporter Air Botswana has announced resumtpion of flights into Zambia after 2 years hiatus.
