{"id":6964,"date":"2018-11-16T10:31:29","date_gmt":"2018-11-16T10:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsdayzambia.com\/?p=6964"},"modified":"2018-11-16T10:32:34","modified_gmt":"2018-11-16T10:32:34","slug":"petaukes-katundu-case-adjourns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsdayzambia.com\/?p=6964","title":{"rendered":"Petauke\u2019s \u2018katundu\u2019 case adjourns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">By Staff Reporter<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Petauke magistrates court on Thursday adjourned to November 28 a case where Rodger Mwanza, in a video that had gone viral, was playing with an unconscious woman\u2019s private parts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Mwanza is facing three counts of indecent assault, production of obscene material and circulation of obscene material.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The case is coming up for ruling on a case or no case to answer after seven prosecution witnesses testified on the matter.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Facts before the court were that in count one Mwanza, 32 of Petauke turn off, on August 25 this year indecently assaulted a known lady who was unconscious, contrarily to the law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">And in count two, Mwanza is accused of making or producing an obscene video with intent to corrupt public morals,\u00a0\u00a0while in count three he is accused of circulating an obscene video with intent to corrupt public morals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">When the matter came up before resident magistrate Ackson Mumba, seven witnesses testified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The witnesses were also cross examined by three defence lawyers namely Fred Jere, Lenny Banda and Lawrence Chanda from Fed Jere and Company in Lusaka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Witnesses that testified included the victim, Elizabeth Lungu who told the court that she was unaware of being touched on her private part and being filmed naked while asleep.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Staff Reporter \u00a0 The Petauke magistrates court on Thursday adjourned to November 28 a case where Rodger Mwanza, in a video that had gone viral, was playing with an unconscious woman\u2019s private parts.
