A 39-year-old man of Kapiri Mposhi has gone into hiding after allegedly beating-up his wife to death, consequently burying her body.<\/p>\n
ZANIS reports that Central Province Commissioner of Police Chola Katanga confirmed the incidence which happened on June 8, 2019.<\/p>\n
Katanga named the suspect as Godfrey Sundwe and the deceased as Grace Nshimbi, 34, both of Fubera village in Chief Nkole\u2019s area.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have received a report of murder from female Febby Nshimbi, 45, to the effect that her sister female Grace Nshimbi died after being beaten by her husband using fists and kicks. The suspect is on the run and we have since launched a man hunt,\u201d said Katanga.<\/p>\n
He said it is alleged that Sundwe beat-up his wife to death using fists and kicks following a marital dispute and later buried her body at the same village.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe incident was only reported to police on Tuesday, 11th June 2019 by the deceased\u2019s sister. According to the report, the deceased sustained stomach and general body pains and bleeding from the nose and mouth as a result of the beating and later died,\u201d he said<\/p>\n
Katanga said the suspect went into hiding after police made a follow up on the matter adding that a manhunt had since been launched.<\/p>\n
He said police will soon exhume the body to facilitate postmortem.<\/p>\n
