Bovine disease breaks out in Mangango, kills 20 cattle

Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) has broken out in Kaoma district, killing 20 cattle in Mangango area.

Kaoma District Commissioner, Kennedy Mubanga has confirmed to Zambia News & Information Service, saying the livestock disease broke out last week.

Mubanga however, said the department of veterinary was already on the ground to control the outbreak.

He added that the Veterinary department was also in the process of mobilising resources to have non-infected animals vaccinated.
