Musenge has no power to expel me – Kambwili

OPPOSITION National Democratic Congress (NDC) consultant Chishimba Kambwili has charged that party secretary general Mwenya Musenge has no powers to expel him from the party.
Speaking to journalist this morning at Lusaka High Court Kambwili said he has never seen a secretary general firing the leader of the party.
And Kambwili it was difficult to discuss further as he had not received his expulsion letter.
“Why should we discuss internal matters of a political party in the press?” he asked. “Internal matters of political parties are discussed internally and not in the press, anybody who goes to discuss such matters in the press is foolish”.
“I don’t want to discuss matters pertaining NDC in the press because NDC has got a central committee and it has party structures where issues or any matters of the party are discussed, and away from NDC I have never ever seen a secretary general of an organisation not NDC, not PF or UPND can expel its leader,” what a joke,” said Kambwili
Speaking this morning on UNZA Radio, Musenge said the party had decided to run its affairs without any consultant.
Musenge said Kambwili had been barred from speaking on behalf, or for the NDC.
“The party has been embarrassed very often, with the utterances and uncoordinated behaviour of Mr. Kambwili. The party has also removed Kambwili as the party’s presidential candidate for 2021,” said Musenge.
He said leadership of the party will call for the Central Committee meeting to confirm the expulsion.
“Mr. Kambwili’s continued action to cling to the PF had caused confusion to the members of the party,” Musenge said.
Kambwili was expelled by the ruling Patriotic Front in 2017 but challenged the decision in court.
