Socialist Party 2021 presidential candidate Dr Fred M’membe says Zambia should be a better for everyone.
And Dr M’membe said the inter-party talks should not be determined by President Lungu or the Zambia Centre for Inter-Pary Dilaogue but the general good of the country.
Speaking shortly after the successful dialogue meeting held by the three church mother bodies at Kapingila house on Friday, M’membe said the process was above any of the parties or individuals involved the process.
“No one can hold anyone at ransom over this process and the church is doing a good job and they deserve the support of all, so with or without Edger Lungu and ZCID the process will go on,” said M’membe
He said that the brief report by the church was very good and the reaction from the political parties were also good.
Meanwhile, National Democratic Congress Consultant Chishimba Kambwili has expressed happiness with the church that for starting the dialogue process while ZCID wanted to sabotage it.
“Am happy that they will be official launch of the dialogue on the 4th of January because the issues that we are facing are issues that cannot wait. How can you arrest an mp once he addresses his own people? Those are issues which we want to talk about, it simply shows that there is no multipatism in Zambia under Edgar Lungu that is why he even refused to come for the meeting because he knows that the meeting will tell him to do the right thing,” said Kambwili.
Kambwili has since appealed to lungu to join the dialogue team as they were all stakeholders.
“Our friends in the board of ZCID good lucky you were not here but the meeting went on. How do you feel?” Kambwili question.
