MOVEMENT for Mult-party Democracy (MMD) faction leader, Felix Mutati says for the country to develop, it requires a cadre of educated citizens to translate government’s policies into reality.
And Mutati said he was not bitter for being dismissed as cabinet minister and withdrawal of his nomination as member of parliament by President Edgar Lungu.
Mutati was speaking when he made a donation of building materials for the construction of a 1 X 3 classroom block at Mukosa Day Secondary school in Mungwi district.
“I am pleased to fund the building of the classroom block,” he said while expressing hope that be completed by March 2019.
And speaking on behalf of the residents, Faustina Katongo thanked Mutati for the gesture saying the community was financially incapacitated to construct the school without the help and involvement of well-wishers.
“Indeed, education is one of the basic needs for human development,” said Katongo
Meanwhile, Mutati says the nomination of his National Secretary, Raphael Nakachinda as Member of Parliament by President Lungu had not shaken the party.
Speaking when he addressed party structures in Kasama over the weekend Mutati said his focus was now to mobilize the former ruling party.
“Am not annoyed for being fired as Works and Supply Minister,” he said.
