Zambia’s economy shall be further subdued in 2019 – Mulozi
By Staff Reporter
WESTERN Chamber of Commerce and Industry regional coordinator, Fred Mulozi says Zambia’s economy in 2019 is expected to be in a subdued state.
In a phone interview with NewsDayZambia.com, Mulozi lamented that 2018 had been a very hectic and challenging year.
“The economy has struggled to create jobs and achieve industrialization,” he said.
Mulozi added that the situation might worsened as some parts of the country were experiencing droughts.
“This means that the government has to source for funding to make sure that food is available in 2019,” said Mulozi.
He expressed concern that the withdrawal of support by some cooperating partners would put the country under financial stress further in 2019.
