Zambia U-20 set up camp in Kitwe

The Zambia Under-20 National Team has shifted base from Lusaka to Kitwe ahead of the 2018 Mopani Copper Mines Cosafa Championship that kickoff on Sunday on the Copperbelt.

Team Manager Mwansa Kapyanga told FAZfootball.com that all the players summoned for duty were in camp at Sherborne Hotel in Kitwe.

Kapyanga said Zesco United’s Lameck Banda and Kingsley Hakwiya (Dream Factory) had joined camp completing the list of the 20 players expected to fly the Zambian flag at the tournament.

Zambia is in the same group with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique and Malawi.

The host nation opens its account against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday at Nkana Stadium.

Zambia has three foreign based players in Edward Chilufya (Djurgardens IF-Sweden), Mwiya Malumo (Vulcan FC) and Bradley Mweene (University of Pretoria)

The tournament runs from December 2-14.
