Gen Kanene in sex trouble again

Police in Lusaka have arrested and charged singer Clifford Dimba, popularly known as General Kanene with indecent assault.
In early 2015, Dimba was sentenced to 18 years in jail for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
After serving a year of his sentence, President Edgar Lungu pardoned him, appointing the then 30-year-old as an ambassador for women and children’s rights.
But Lungu later revoked the appointment after Dimba’s continued physical abuse of women, including his wife.
Police public relations officer Esther Katongo said it had been alleged that Dimba indecently assaulted a female Television presenter by pressing his hands on her breasts and buttocks.
Katongo said Dimba was arrested on Wednesday and is still in police custody.
“We received a report of Indecent Assault from a 26 year old female of old Kanyama Compound in Lusaka that she was indecently assaulted by Clifford Dimba popularly known as General Kanene,” Katongo said in a statement released Thursday. “’This is reported to have happened at a bar in Makeni Villa on 16th October, 2018 around 20:00 hours. It is alleged that the suspect repeatedly touched the victim’s breasts against her will as she was waiting for her food.”
