11 charged with unlawful drilling in L/stone

Police in Livingstone have finally charged two Chinese and nine Zambian nationals for unlawful drilling among other charges under the State Security, Penal Code and Firearms Acts respectively.
Southern Province Commissioner Bony Kapeso told journalists that Niu Zhichuan, 37, owner of Warm Habour Hotel in Livingstone, Xu Hvibo 31 and nine others would be detained until the matter was determined by the court of law.
“Zhichuan faces two counts of failing to secure a firearm and unlawful drilling while Hvibo faces unlawful possession of firearm and unlawful drilling, Senethinia Mudenda, Director of Alert Security Company has been charged with three counts of harbouring, unlawful drilling and unauthorised use of uniforms,” said Kapeso on Tuesday.
He said the eight security guards have been slapped with an unauthorised use of uniform and unlawful drilling charge.
