When called by Dr Akombwa to greet congregants, others from as far as Mozambique, Hichilema said: “We are very happy with my team to worship with the field women today. For us, it’s an opportunity to attentively listen to the message amidst these holy women. It’s in order to thank the organisers, Church leaders for the wonderful work of God that you do. I know that without God we are nothing.”

Hichilema was accompanied by UPND secretary general Steven Katuka, deputy secretary general – administration Gertrude Imenda and a horde of the opposition party’s members of parliament.

Meanwhile, pastor Ocean Mwiinde, in his sermon titled He is standing alone, urged believers to always turn to God when facing a storm as well as when all was well in their lives.
