Lungu chides PF for tribal campaign in Kasenengwa by-elections

President Edgar Lungu says he is disappointed to hear that campaigns in Chiparamba area of Kasenengwa district are centered on tribal lines.

Lungu said his heart bleeds to note that some people were questioning whether PF aspiring candidate for the Kasenengwa Parliamentary by-election Sensio Banda was a Ngoni or Chewa speaking.

He was saying this when he addressed a meeting at Chiparamba Sub Center to drum up support for Banda.

“It is not important if Mr. Banda is Ngoni or Chewa because the ruling party has no tribe, what should concern the people is whether the candidate will deliver development effectively in the area,” said Lungu

And lungu also said that some Members of Parliament and some Cabinet Ministers are big headed.

He said the Patriotic Front needed members who should humble themselves before the people who vote them in power.

He said this as Banda bowed down in asking for votes from the people in Kasenengwa.

“I will ensure to remind Mr. Banda to visit his constituency, if he receives reports that he is not visiting his constituency. And am assuring farmers that farming inputs for the 2018-2019 farming season will be distributed on time to farmers,” he said.

Lungu added that he would make sure that the electronic voucher system was in place in time for farmers to access all the farming inputs.
