PF, NDC mourn late Mweene

The ruling Patriotic Front party and opposition National Democratic Congress  have sent messages of solidarity to the UPND over the party’s loss of its Mangango member of parliament Naluwe Mweene ina road traffic accident.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) said death had robbed the country of an upcoming and vibrant youth.

And the Patriotic Front expressed deepest sorrow over Mweene’s death.

In a statement on Wednesday NDC secretary general Mwenya musenge said Mweene was a visionary young person who was determined to contribute immensely to the development process of this nation.

“Late Hon. Mweene was an inspiration to young persons and the people of Mangango whom he spoke for and ably represented. The NDC sends its deepest condolences to both the family of the late Hon. Mweene and the UPND President Comrade Hakainde Hichilema,” said Musenge.

Patriotic Front  Secretary General Davies Mwila also sent a message of condolences.

“The Patriotic Front wishes to send a message of condolences to the family of Hon Naluwa Mweene on his painful demise. We further send a message of condolences to the UPND and the people of Mangango Constituency on this loss. It is with profound grief that we, in the ruling Patriotic Front received the news of Hon Mweene’s tragic death,” said Mwila.

“In moments of such agonising pain, it is difficult to give comfort to the family and friends that have lost their loved one. Our thoughts and prayers go to the bereaved family, the UPND and the good people of Mangango. May they find solace and comfort in the bosom of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.”
