Two Mungwi pupils plead guilty to sexual assault

By Staff Reporter

Two pupils of a named school in Mungwi District have been charged with indecent assault and have changed the plea of not guilty to guilty in the Kasama Magistrates’ Court.

The two boys aged 18 and 14, both of Mutukuto village were jointly charged after having inserted their fingers into the private parts of a 20-year-old woman against her will.

Facts before the court are that on July 10, 2018 around 15:00 hours the two met the woman on her way going to fetch water and that it was at that point when they dragged her in the bush where she met her fate.

She was rescued by her mother after shouting for help.

Magistrate Joe Samboko has since ordered that the two boys go for counselling for one year at the department of Social Welfare.
