Cost of internet rising in Zambia – CEC Liquid
By Staff Reporter
THE cost of internet seems to be rising higher, says CEC Liquid Telecom managing director Andrew Kapula.
During a media briefing in Lusaka today, Kapula, however pledged not to relent to drive Zambia’s digital future.
“While the cost of internet seems to be rising higher, CEC Liquid’s commitment to driving Zambia’s digital future is not relenting,” he said.
Kapula added that two-two promotion would give CEC Liquid Telecom’s clients 100 per cent bonus data on any top-up bundle and that such bonus data would be valid for seven days.
“The two-two promotion gives existing customers 100 per cent bonus when they top-up or recharge on any data bundle on the network. This means that if a customer tops-up with a 10 GB data bundle, they get another 10 GB bundle absolutely free. Bosele promotion allows unlimited access to Netflix, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Play services on any top-ups from 35 GB and above. These services will be valid for 30 days,” Kapula noted, adding that the revolution of internet in Zambia meant developing products that were designed to meet consumer needs,” explained Kapula.
When asked if the promotions were in response to the 30 ngwee tariff on internet phone calls introduced by the government on Monday, Kapula answered in the negative.
