Mwene Mutondo burial set for Kaoma Monday

Mwene Mutondo of the Nkoya people in Kaoma and Luampa districts has died in Lusaka’s  University Teaching Hospital  at the age of 83.
Kaoma district commissioner Kennedy Mubanga disclosed in a press release that Mwene Mutondo Watunga will be put to rest in a traditional fashion at Lukena Palace in Kaoma on Monday.
“All Heads of Public Institutions, All Heads of Government Departments, All Heads of Parastatal Organizations, The Ruling Patriotic Front Officials. It is hereby notified for all the above addressees that the late Edward Mbombola Moyo,  who served as HRH Chief Mutondo Watunga of the Nkoya people and passed on in the early hours of Thursday 10th May, 2018 at UTH in Lusaka, will be put to rest in a traditional fashion at Lukena on Monday 14th May, 2018. Mourners arrive at Lukena at 08:00hrs,” Mubanga stated. “The DJOC and addressees above are expected to make arrangements to travel to Lukena and pay their last respects. Departure time is 07:30hrs from the District Administration.”
