Demand services without apologing – CSPR

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction has asked people never to apologise for demanding basic needs from their government.

Board vice chairperson, Partner Siabutuba said leaders needed to realise that they were supposed to serve the people and not be masters.

“The majority of Zambian people are the ones that put leaders in office but it is saddening that the citizenry are now begging their ‘servants’ to consider their needs,” said Siabutuba.

“It is high time Zambians became unapologetic for holding the government accountable. Zambian people must realise that they have servants who have to be taken to task when they do things that are questionable and require an explanation.”
