SMEs can fight unemployment – Musokotwane
By Staff Reporter
The Parliamentary Committee on National Economy, Trade, and Labour Matters has observed that unemployment would only be fought by involving medium, micro and small scale enterprises.
Committee chairperson Situmbeko Musokotwane said such enterprises were mostly at the top of absorbing youths for employment.
“This is why the parliamentary committee will move into Southern and Western Provinces to study operations of these enterprises. The committee has already engaged relevant stakeholders in Lusaka Province,” said Dr Musokotwane.
He said this when the Committee paid a courtesy call on Southern Province minister Edify Hamukale.
