OPPOSITION MMD leader Nevers Mumba has been jailed for three months custodial imprisonment for trespassing at Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC).
Magistrate David Simusamba sent Mumba to the gallows over his visit to ZNBC to raise concerns over poor coverage by the public broadcaster of the controversial 2016 general elections.
Soon after Simusamba delivered the judgement, Mumba was led to the police truck carrying other inmates to prison.
His attempt to make phone calls were curtailed by uncompromising police officers who were deployed at the court grounds.
